Time for another progress update.
-
I've noticed it's been a month since our last update thread, as always, thank you for your continued patience whilst we are working on the next update to Plutonium. In case you missed the update on progress from February please check https://forum.plutonium.pw/topic/37/a-small-update-on-what-we-have-been-working-on/
T6:
-
A bug with dedicated servers reading the server config file caused possible crashes, this has been patched.
-
Code related to CEG could have been causing a deadlock which caused the game to freeze, this has been patched.
-
Bounces have been added back into the game. This should be controllable via the server config.
-
cl_yawspeed
dvar has been added. -
notify onplayercommand has been added for GSC modding, working similar to IW4 and IW5, this allows a mod to do something if the player presses a specific button.
-
The menu has been designed and can be seen here: https://twitter.com/PlutoniumMod/status/1227638301466746880
IW5:
-
For the trickshotters, we're working on adding YY's.
-
Most work has been background code, related to loading maps, connecting to our servers and ensuring it all connects after being rebuilt.
-
Stats currently do not save as the games are classed as unranked games, we are working to patch this so they are ranked and thus earn XP.
-
Dummy bots are being added.
General:
-
More progress on implementing communication between the games and our anti-cheat. We obviously can't go into detail on development progress with the anti-cheat.
-
Timeout for server lists and communications between a game and Plutonium has been increased. This should mean things such as the server list should refresh and appear more reliably.
There is still no timescale for the next update, a lot of the remaining bugs and features rely on other features working first before work can be started on fixing the bug or adding the feature.

also if users REALLY wanted to, couldnt they make their own HTML files to make similar looking menus before the update?
-
Ducxy They are both going to use HTML so I see no reason not?
-
Drgn bettt. i have an edited HTML already but wasnt sure if doing something like this was possible on the current client. But rn I have added options and a button to connect right to my server (useful for testing)
-
the update will support 10 or 15 custom class like MW3
or will staying on 5 class only?
