Sorry for the late reply, but are you using Webroot antivirus? Its known to cause that, uninstall that shitty AV, restart your PC and launch the updater again.

Besides that, I already explained it 3 times. The game calls some code from the kernel that has better alternatives since Windows 8. These alternative functions are not available on Windows 7. Repeating myself for the 4th time now. Since the last update we use them to make the game run better but that also means it completely breaks Windows 7. But it is not our policy to support that game anyway. This is the final thing I am going to say about this topic, if you cause any more drama you will be banned from the forum and the game. /locked
