I've already reinstalled both DirectX 9 and 10 and my headset is set to default but I think it might be a problem with windows 11 or outdated drivers.

    A Former User?
Revisited this and now I have been able to launch the game once the servers have been started. Done this for IW5 and T4. What I had to do is follow the instructions above Needed an extra appdata folders to do it as instructed C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Plutonium_servers Extra step I needed was to rename the file plutonium-bootstrapper-win32.exe in the Plutonium_servers folder to plutonium-bootstrapper_servers.exe So I now have a T4 server and a IW5 server running and can run the CoD WaW game or the MW3 game as I please after the servers are online. Cheers MAD_DAD

List every antivirus and security tool you have installed, even if they're disabled

I get that this thread is old, but I found a plausible solution. If you downloaded plutonium using a file called plutonium.exe, and then try to update it using a file called plutonium (1).exe (aka, you downloaded an extra copy), then it will not work. You have to find and use the original file.

Plutonium is its own app, it's not a software like the other you could download. You have two solutions First solution: if you want to download it to another drive you can either create a symbolic link which basically makes Windows think it's on C: (so that nothing breaks) while actually storing the files on D: for example This example should guide you https://plutonium.pw/docs/modding/moving-to-another-drive/ Second solution: if you really want to install Plutonium on another drive I think you could use something like this in a bat file. Just make sure this bat file is in the same folder as plutonium.exe @echo off set installDir=D:\Plutonium plutonium.exe -install-dir "%installDir%"

Doesn't matter. Next time go in LAN mode https://plutonium.pw/docs/anticheat/

Choosing to not create a sub folder is only used to download the game properly, it has nothing to do with the issue you describe. Your issue is that McAfee is an awful antivirus and it's deleting the exe. We highly recommend uninstalling it completely, Windows Defender is far better https://plutonium.pw/docs/antivirus/
