  • As we all know Plutonium Iw5 does not have survival at this moment. This said and seeing how alot of people want this mode I have took it apon myself to create iw5 survival.

    Iw5 Survival

    Iw5 Survival is a work in progress survival mod for Plutonium Iw5 multiplayer. This mod try to emulate survival within multiplayer, as such it has some issues that need to be worked out and redone. This mod has taken a lot of effort to bring it to Alpha for my admins and I to test.

    Beta Release

    This release will probably come within this month.
    What you can expect from this beta are 2 servers hosted in the mid us, there will be one 4 player server, and one 8 player server.
    There will be some bugs, mainly with the buy station menus, sense I have had to write these from scratch some things will work (Weapon Armory is the most finished) and some things might not, and then some things may work, but may be buggy.

    Alpha Release

    This release need a few more testers. This said I will be looking for 3 more random people to test this mod BEFORE beta is released. You will be added to the GitHub repo for the mod, and have access to every alpha update as well as access to my alpha dev server.   • @hindercanrun hey bro, nukes are getting removed until I fix them to wipe the wave๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  • @hindercanrun yeah, that's why they will be removed for the time being. Plus og survival never had them, I need to remove the fog as well.

  • With the survival mod coming a long way in the past week, I'm betting beta is coming soon. Here are some things you need to know.

    Maps

    Here is a list of maps that are 100% going to be supported for the beta, there may be more to come but here is what we have so far.
    Confirmed Supported Maps:

    • Dome
    • Seatown
    • Resistance
    • Interchange
    • Village
    • Mission
    • Carbon
    • NukeTown

    Waves

    Waves work as intended as of now, because this is a multiplayer mod waves were a hard part to capture but I managed to get it to work best as I could.

    Sadly beta release will NOT be seeing:
    Juggernaut waves
    Heli wave/mixed heli waves
    Dog waves/mixed dog waves

    I do plan on adding these, I just want to get everything else in the mod working as it should be first.

    Amorys(aka buy stations)

    I originally added buy stations VERY early on in this mod, it has been one of the most annoying things to add. The armory menus are about done, they just need a small bit more of code and both gsc and menu, I have made sure to add the most important things to the menus and have made sure they work.

    If you see any red X's during the beta on the menus, this means that either the menu for that is not done, or there are some bugs that need to be worked out, best not to mess with those options.

    Survival Hud

    The survival hud may or may not be added for beta, I'm hoping it is, but I have worked very little on that part as of now, as I wanted to get the code game machinces working first. This will be add later if not already.
    Money hud has been added as well as intermissions hud!

  • so basically its spec ops without some maps i think thats alr the only map i liked was dome tbh also nice job!

  • @I3A Well Survival was apart spec ops, in spec ops there were also missions. This does not have that, and might now for a long while.

  • With a lot of work being done to the mod, it will be a while until the mod is almost 1 to 1 survival. That being said progress to push this mod to beta has been moving along very well, slower then I wanted but it getting there, as of now the mod is about 75% way to bring pushed to public beta. I estimate beta will either be done by the end of this month or soon into the next. There is still much testing needed to be done for the mod but I am getting it done as fast as possible with the time I have. Here are some things to note about what will be in the beta, and expect a showcase soon after this post of what is already done.

    Beta includes

    Multiple maps to play from:
    Dome
    Seatown
    Resistance
    Interchange
    village
    Mission
    Carbon
    NukeTown

    Beta buy stations:
    Buy Stations at the beginning of the beta will be able to be used at any point in the game unlike normal survival. This is due to me focusing on other parts of the mod at the moment.
    Buy stations will have bugs, a red X will show what menu option has bugs, doesn't work yet, or needs more added to it.

    Waves:
    I'm hoping to add juggernaut waves to beta but this is not a promise. Waves as of now are just normal AI bots.

    Intermission:
    The intermission can not be skiped yet but am hoping to do make possible soon. Intermission time is currently 60 seconds, but will either be 30 or 60 at launch. (30 is default on survival)

    Huds:
    The huds are not 100% complete, they are about 40% done with over half of them not even being added yet, such as perk huds. Included huds are, wave hud, score hud, intermission hud.

    Things that will be added after beta release

    Combat performance hud after each wave

    Heli waves/mixed waves

    Possibly dogs, need to port that ai myself to mp

    Intermission locked Amory access

    Wave unlocked Amory access

    Rest of stock maps and more usermaps

    More HUDs to recreate survival look

    Improve AI to be more like single player AI

    Add perk care packages

    Add rest of buy station code and fix current bugs/and kr use original survival menu with edits to fit to my code and multiplayer engine.

    Create full private match support

    Create new Iw5 main menu to include survival as a option

    Expand apon model replacement and animation replacement

    Create custom spawn points

    Create 4 player only support

    Create custom game mode files

    Edit pause menu in game

    Probably more but I don't remember. Just a lot to add to such a big mod.

  • @Soliderror Hey like the work that you're doing I was wondering about the different types of enemies that are in the mod or will be in the mod.

    Like the wave 1-10 that either carry an MP5 or the Model 1887

    or from 11-25 that Carry AK's ACR's and FAD's and weirdly enough PP90M1's

    Im also aware that I probably didn't mention all of them in here but you get what I mean hopefully.


    General Questions

    Was wondering about the Various Different types of Waves that weren't mentioned Like Suicide Bombers/Dogs (they were mentioned above)

    Chemical Warfare enemies that place those annoying ass gas traps and leave gas behind when killed

    Also just thought that even the various different waves of enemies carry different weapons varying from USAS-12's to LMG's I believe it also changes on the harder maps.

    So with that in mind will the enemies be carrying the correct weapons on the correct maps and will the maps vary in Difficulty? (probably a pain in the ass)

    Riotshield Juggernauts... forgot about that annoying ass things

    and of course the support Streaks like the Delta Squad and the Riot Shield Squad.

    Will they be in the mod and work as they do normally?

    Im perfectly aware that these things are far in the future for the mod but im curious on how you think you'll be taking on the challenge's of making it work and adding them in

    Edit: Will there also be a level system in the Mod? like having weapons locked till a certain level? not sure how something like that would work but it'd be interesting to see so people can't just buy insane weapons right off the rip you'd have to keep playing to survive longer level up get weapons perks streaks ect.

  • Making this mod 1:1 with the original MW3 survival mode would be very time consuming. At least he is covering the core mechanics of the mode and adding in which ever is possible. I've seen a similar coop MW3 survival mod, but it's for Iw4x. Check out the source code if I'll help out with your mod or get ideas from it.

  • @RedxSkull I'll look at this for things, but this mod is for the single player of iw4x. Making a multiplayer mod much more different sense I'm working AI that wasnt even added to multiplayer in the first place so I have to use a very modded version of Plutos iw5 bot warfare, and even then I'm working with a player limit, so there can only be 8 bots out at a time, however the way I have made my wave system, the 8 player limit isn't really noticeable.

  • @Memeking254 I completely forget to mention suscide bombers actually, thanks for bringing that up. I will be trying to implement the different types of enemies, although they might not make it to first beta release, they will be added. Also, the weapons the bots carry will reflect how normal survival does it (the animations may not be same in beta either but I'll be posting those as well as well as their models), as of right now they only use the model shotgun, as I need to add a class csv file to my mod, then edit the bots to be able to use them. The Armory stations will hopefully have the locked level system, me and another developer that has been helping me a little had a talk about this we think it is definitely possible, and so it will be added. This mod will keep 1 to 1 as best as possible to normal survival, and as you asked about the support squad, they will be added, but ONLY for when the servers are set to 4 players, or if the 8 player servers are below 6 players, as I have to work with the 8 player limit here per team. The riot squad will be the same. As for the riot juggernauts I believe I can add them, just with a little more work, but they as well should be added.

    im sure alot has changed since this was uploaded and no this doesn't really show off anything besides the weapons menu and the Kill Streaks working

    Clearly there are some things missing that can at the moment atleast fill the void for the big things that not in at the moment

    again more things that could be added ( things that could already be in since Im going off this gameplay) and no the I have no idea how much or how little this stuff could take to add so sorry if its seeming like im pushing for these things

    • hopefully the streaks thing has been fixed since MOAB's even being obtainable is kinda insane (a welcome addition of that red fog isn't part of it) and looking at this thread it didn't work properly at the time ~ a month ago not exactly sure how fixing that would work but disabling kill streaks and only making them purchasable

    • the AI (mentioned above) needs some improvement would make it a hell of a lot harder (this kinda goes hand and hand with the difficulty of the maps)

    • the HUD (also mentioned above) Not sure if removing the Killfeed is possible or the player tag that appears at the bottom middle of the screen and adding the points pop up (all future stuff since as mentioned above its been worked on very little) along with the challenges for the Wave dae67c15-6325-4599-be8e-61a04a780d7c-image.png Other then that stuff im sure you're well aware of for the future of this mod again thank you for the time and the reply.   • @Soliderror The survival mod for iw4x actually supports up to 4 players. I've tried it out already with others in the past. The only downside of that mod is that it used pezbots, because bot warfare wasn't available at the time for iw4x, so the AI isn't that great. All the scripts and assets for that mod like all the original survival announcer audio files are stored in IWD which can be opened and extracted with winrar or any compressing tool. Besides that, the Alpha for your mod is looking real good. Keep up the good work

  • @Memeking254 All those things I have looked into already. All is is possible and I was going to either remove the MOAD or Fix it to to end the wave (but make it a buyable not a kill streak, not too sure on that tho) all other things are possible other then I believe the bots join the game and being kicked from the game showing, I tried to find the strings for this to reply them but didn't find them. The kill cards that come up will be removed as that's possible. The challenges will also be added, the ai gets harder as waves progress as well, and soon will be match to maps as well.

  • @Resxt I knew you had these, and I was going to add them later on, but I was figuring out what I wanted to with the MOAD still, I think I'ma just remove it tho sense it wasn't in normal survival, Im probably going to remove the cod4 weapons as well (I didn't add them sloth did, not my idea) but I want this mod to be as close as possible to survival, I am even remaking my zonetool so it can have full menu support so I can use base menus from game, and I have that working, so the menus I have now might be replaced with a slightly modded version of the original.
