jeffy you have an issue with one of the dependencies (files that the game needs to work).
you can fix this by installing DirectX manually or running the game once thru steam and letting it install what you need. The second method is the easiest and cleanest.
HussBlug can't help you with pirated files mate... get the game from steam and you'll be good!

Get Cloudflare WARP... you have a connection issue between you and the update servers.
you can also try resetting router, changing DNS, switching to ethernet/wifi/mobile hotspot, etc. Cloudflare warp works for most.
root it only becomes available to claim if you have not used it for a year (2 years if you verified your email address when you signed up)
if someone claimed it, that means you did not use it for at least a year.

canoo10 you could only do this if they had a social media or discord presence. If they advertise is in the server or you can use google. Most servers don't have one so it might be tough to do.

no, that's what the verify step is actually for... makes sure the email address you gave them is actually yours so they know they are contacting the correct person and that you aren't someone just using fake emails.
lots of people skip the verify step... causes a number of issues (mostly related to password resets)... for others reading this thread... verify your email addresses!!!
@InactUsr6903 Accounts with a verified email make it so 2 years if inactivity have to go by... if your account was only inactive for a year and it was claimed, that means you didn't have a verified email account... so there was no way to send you an email address to let you know.
Ahmet_Oyunda you have a directX error... you can either manually install DirectX or run the game once thru steam and it will install all the things you need / are missing.

what is it you are doing, you say you can't get it to work but in the first post you say you can't find your bo2 files.
the default location of your game is:
Program Files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/Call of Duty Black Ops II
if you didn't install it there, then whatever folder holds your game files is the one you'll use.
click "SETUP" or "game settings" on your plutonium launcher...
click "Select DIR"...
browse to the correct folder that has your copy of the game in it (see above path)...
click "Select Folder"...
You should now be able to click "Play"
If not, what error are you getting?
diddy132 you need to tell plutonium where your copy of bo2 is installed.
plutonium is a launcher, it doesn't come with the game. you provide the copy of the game, plutonium just makes it safer and better.
Use the setup (or game settings) button to tell plutonium where your game files are located so it can launch them.
