    I would say if you downloaded a mod that changes textures/audio that it would only apply to you.

    But I've never played a mod with someone who doesn't own it, if the mod changes gameplay via GSC files and .lua data (for example, scripts that make the player able to view with no fog, or pull out a tactical knife that wasn't originally in the game).

    I've never seen that in action before and I just assume either the other person is halted by the game to download it before joining, or the game would just crash later on.

    If it's just something that's only for cosmetic change, like textures/audio, you should be pretty fine.

    Only said that in cases where if people can't link their steam account to Plutonium (whether by loss of password or other means that block access to that account), that would mean they'd need another steam account that owns BO2 to link it therefore.

    I'd also like to add that are because the textures for each weapon and image is layered differently.

    If you don't know what I mean then this is what I can say:

    mtl_t6_wpn_ar_x95l_col means you're editing the base weapon texture

    mtl_t6_wpn_ar_x95l_spc-rg~####### means you're editing the weapon texture in a "nacreous" kind of way.

    These 2 files layer into each other with the second one being like an overlay technique that doesn't fully change the model itself.

    As far as I can tell editing the second file mtl_t6_wpn_ar_x95l_spc-rg~####### at all causes this reflection thing to occur, probably because you're resetting the alpha line on it, but I barely have any clue what alpha is right now so that's my guess.

    I don't why it didn't work before but now it does, considering the scripts haven't changed.

    Hadi77KSA I think I have the same problem as them only I've provided screenshots based on what you said would be necessary, so I will also apply captions/context to each screenshot as well.

    Image 2: Same command prompt list, minimized with a screenshot of me (with customized textures), who is on step 7 on Maxis' side, where a ball taken from one of the lions in the start room must be placed on a trample steam. The prompt for placing one is not shown from all angles, despite trying all lion status and their correct angles (at least what I assume is correct, being facing in the direction that leads to middle roof).

    Unless I'm doing something wrong here, placing the trample steam directly on the lion statues, in the direction their heads point to, whilst holding either ball will provide me with the dialog of "Hold F(X/SQUARE) to pick up Trample Steam"

    I assume this is what he meant even though that was almost a year ago, but likewise, I'm also confused on how to do this 😖

    If you had the game downloaded but no longer do, it's possible that it's still looking for that location, so in other words, it shouldn't return to "Play" because there's always a location in the "game settings", even when the path is invalid.

    Either way, if you want to fix your problem, you should read Dec's comment.

  • Personal Suggestion (T6) Self Player Shadow Lighting + Another

    Okay to be straight and simple, on T5, the r_enableplayershadow command will trace the player's character as a rendered shadow, which is pretty cool to me. There are two easily noticed differences about the T5 FPS (first person shadow) and the T6 FPS. Simply, the one on T6 draws shadows primarily from the sun, while T5 draws shadows from the sun, and from other sources of light. This means that given a light source other than the sun is placed (inside an interior) in T5, the shadow will be drawn, unlike for T6, where the shadow isn't drawn, but only will be by the primary light being the sun of the map.

    This is probably the most useless feature as I'm pretty much asking for a visual improvement, but it's one to add.

    And for a more important suggestion that still doesn't help with much, but is again appreciated, is there a way to increase the current application's audio? I'm saying this because playing Black Ops 2 on Steam, I notice the volume difference as the game on Steam is much louder than on here, and while I could just turn up the volume for this application only, I am slightly getting tired of repetitively doing it, so I guess I would like for the application to be a bit louder.

    Most of this doesn't matter either way so what you do with the information given is yours really..

    Update, "BO2 Ultimate Overhaul Pack" has been renamed to "BO2 Overhaul Pack." Until I find a better name for now.

    Expect the newly announced hotfix to come within the next week!

    side note: it's not technically a hotfix anymore since instead of fixing the problem, I instead added a bigger sound/texture update.

    Okay I probably shouldn't be commenting at all simply because I'm nearly 3 years late, but I want to mention that these 2 parts (under normal circumstances) won't appear if the person that is hosting the game (or is considered as player 1 due to joining the game first) had completed the easter egg for the map.

    Sorry about the long wait for release V1.5. Initially I was going to release V1.2 but now I want to make further texture adjustments and I figured having released both a fix and an updated list was better.

  • New DVAR Bug on BO2 ZM (Be careful)

    We know of the new DVAR that plutonium recently added called "player_allowActivateWhileSwitchingWeapons"

    This essentially allows players to activate dialog/trigger functions while switching weapons unlike before. To put simply, you can now grab a shovel on Origins whilst you switch from Mauser to M14, unlike before where you had to either wait for your character to fully pull out the M14, or just switch cancel.

    However don't try this on perks as if you attempt to buy quick revive as soon as possible before the switch has finished, there is a (low but possible) chance that the following bugs occur:

    • Character is not able to switch weapons
    • Character cannot interact with any wallbuys

    This command only released not too long ago so I might be wrong in most cases, but this is what I assume.

    Does setting the dvar "r_enableplayershadow" to "1" on a private match allow trap buildables (e. g. Turbine, Trample Steam, Subsurface Resonator, etc) to detect the nearest zombie?

    Because I don't know what normally should happen, but upon using this command solo, my turbine tends to be a good detector in terms of finding nearby zombies, pointing in the direction of what seems to always be the nearest one.

    One person has the map reversed for them whilst another is original. Sounds server-sided to me, where in this case it would be hard to replicate a server where one has it disabled and enabled.
