[ZM] WAW Weapons mod for bo1 maps v2.8.1

Brigeezy123 I didn't change those ones tbh, they just use the base bo1 pap camo, but before when you papped them they would just look the same as when unpapped

also if u want i can take a look at the gunfire flare fx files and i can edit them to look like waws, not sure how u would add in separate ones for guns that have distinct flares like ppsh. edit; actually in bo1's campaign it uses the same flash effects as waw's.

Brigeezy123 the waw muzzleflashes are already in the bo1 files, it's just that each waw weapon used it's own fx file making the amount of fx assets surpass the limit. all of bo1's weapons use the same muzzleflashes between smg, rifle and heavy along with the pap variants, so I decided I would make the waw weapons use those instead and figured no one would really care or even notice

so i did some digging in the waw and bo1 mod tools files, and have some updated files to give you, and not the greatest advice since i dont know jack shit about scripting.
so here are some higher quality images you could use;

so, the tiny_bumps_n may look better on the waffe, raygun, etc. but is there a way of overlaying this file onto the already placed normal maps of those metal parts? if not then just try putting that as the normal map for those guns just to test.

Brigeezy123 I put those textures in and the waffe bumps were still big. idk I think it has something with the material or the game doing something to the material the waffe uses because with no mods installed the metal bumps look just fine. I still added those textures to the update I just put out though

Richiem32 I might try that but it would be a while, also it would take a lot longer than this mod did since most of the waw weapons were already in bo1, whereas with the cod4 weapons I would have to port all of them since no ports exist.

I’m wondering if there will be an option implemented to modify what weapons can appear in the game. So you can have a toggle where you can disable the Multiplayer weapons that weren’t in the box in the original WaW game, since adding more weapons lowers your odds of getting the guns you want because there are more probabilities in the box. Another would be to be able mix BO1 and WAW guns so everyone can keep still do their mustangs and sallies and Monkey Crossbows

Great work on the mod btw!playerlsaysr69 yea I think that would be a great feature considering there are people who would enjoy this mod more with certain weapon variations as I've been asked about that before. the thing is, I'm not that great at scripting so it would take me a lot of time and effort for me to figure out how to put something like that together. not that I'm against putting effort into my mods, but I'm not really up for that right now.
