yes there is a fix.
If you would like more info though, you have to give us more info. what error? what does it show? what screen is there when it freezes? etc.
Lots of things that could be wrong, "doesn't open" isn't enough.

this is normal, you can ignore this message
pirated files are not supported anymore. get you some good game files from steam and you will be able to play!
stuff started changing about 2 years ago.
that's not because of the com r_brightness 0 message.
what other error messages do you have?
have you verified your game files in steam yet? (this is usually step one for all problems)
are there any error message on the console window that loads behind the game?
have you verified your game files thru steam yet?
DRAKEN16
that's normal, just ignore it.
we are going to need more info than that to help you with your problem...
I helped him fix it last night! probably should have edited his post with a "SOLVED"
that's the one!
no that's not a mod in the sense of what pluto calls mods, it's a collection of scripts... you can download the source code (the one below that file) and manually put them in the same folders and then make your changes and it will compile them.
my mistake iHarrow, i thought you were trying to install BO2 Reimagined v.1.3.4 which can be also done by putting various things in the scripts and images folder...
what you are trying to install does go in the mod folder... my apologies for the confusion!
same steps to install on your machine you just put the files in your servers t6/storage/scripts mods folder instead of your local one.
no need to recompile, plutonium will compile on launch for you.
you will likely need to make a bunch of small fixes if you are using the uncompiled version and making changes.
Edit, i thought you were installing what was in the topic... didn't notice the actual file you linked... my bad!
share what? if you have already had the files through steam, you can redownload them from steam. If you never had them from steam, you have to get them from steam now. Other methods are no longer allowed to be talked about. Sorry man!
go to the steam store and purchase it.
plutonium does not come with any game files... you gotta have the game files and the DLC maps to play them.
this is usually due to a conflict with an audio driver (voicemeeter does it a lot from what i hear)
try disabling ALL of your audio drivers to see if it fixes it, then re-enable them one by one to see which one may be the conflict.
it's not all good on your end... that's the issue. otherwise your server would be listed.
if you come to discord and want to share screen shots, we might be able to find it.
these changes seem to have worked for most people with your issue...
depending on the VPS you may still need to use a dashboard to open ports...
and you have 2 rules in both inbound and outbound? total of 4?
and they are all enabled (check marks)
and the outbound once (which default to deny) you changed to allow?
need more info on your error to be sure (crash ids don't really help) but if your issue is the same as the other folks posting about it in the forum, you can try a few other steps besides what you've done:
Heartbeat successful just means the key is correct, not showing up on the server list means you are missing one of the 5 port forwarding things.
thats an issue that a few folks have been getting lately. usually fixed by waiting, resetting router, switching from wifi to ethernet, ethernet to wifi, trying a hot spot, new DNS, using VPN, turning off VPN, using something like Cloudflare WARP, etc.
basically something about your network changing to correct the connection issue to the server. that seems to do the trick.
