I'm constantly getting crashes after playing for a while (sometimes after 20 minutes, sometimes after 1 hour).
It happens randomly and it does not matter if I'm playing Zombies or Multiplayer, solo, with friends or in a public server, the crash happens in every moded. I dont have any mod, textures o custom maps, just the game vanilla.

The content of the file C:\Users\MY_USSER\AppData\Local\Plutonium\crashdumps\plutonium-r5278-t6mp-2026-04-09_12-47-16.txt is this:

    Exception Code: 0xC0000005
    Exception Address: 0x23790E73
    g_mem.buf 0x2f6f0000
    last com error message ''
    last gsc error message ''
    last gsc pos 0x0 <FROZEN THREAD>

    My PC specs:

    • Ryzen 5 2600
    • RTX 3060 Ti
    • 16 GB RAM
    • Windows 10 (Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045)

Ive already tryed lots of things:

    • Reinstalling Plutonium completely
    • Reinstalling BO2 from different sources (non-Steam), including copies that work fine on my friends' PCs
    • Deleting Plutonium config/cache folders
    • Disabling XMP RAM profile in BIOS
    • Running RAM stress tests with OCCT(no errors found)
    • Running Windows repair commands (sfc /scannow and DISM)
    • Reinstalling the game and launcher from scratch

    Any clue of the solution??

Your crash log only shows a generic 0xC0000005 access violation, not a specific map/script error. Since it happens in vanilla, in every mode, I’d stop focusing on BO2 files and test local conflicts instead.

        Try this in order:

fully uninstall Norton/third-party AV for a test
add exclusions for BO2 and %localappdata%\Plutonium
disable/close all overlays and hook tools (Discord, Steam, GeForce, RTSS, ReShade, Overwolf, capture software)
check Event Viewer after the crash for the faulting module name
        reinstall the Plutonium launcher clean

If it still crashes after that, the next useful thing is the .dmp file or an Event Viewer faulting module, because the txt alone isn’t enough to pin it down.

Thank you very much for your response.

          • Ive got no AV, just windows defender (ive already excluded the plutonium paths, the .exe and the games folders)
          • Im playing with no Discord, Steam or similar applications with overlays. I just got the NVIDIA app but with the overlays off
          • Ive already reinstalled plutonium launcher and the game a couple of times

          Check the files and exclusions:

          folders.png
          excluded.png

Ive just had right now the same issue at 20:37 playing online:

          Exception Code: 0xC0000005
          Exception Address: 0x23790E73
          g_mem.buf 0x2f6b0000
          last com error message ''
          last gsc error message ''
          last gsc pos 0x0 <FROZEN THREAD>

This are the Event Viewer logs nearest to that hour:

          logs.png

And this are the logs near that hour:

Updated Windows Defender status successfully to SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON.

So I'm honestly going crazy jajajaaja. I cant attach the file here because of the size because the only allowed types are: .png, .jpg, .bmp, .gif, .iwi, .iwd, .jpeg. If needed, I can upload the .dmp file somewhere else and send a download link.

          And thanks a lot!!!

You still don’t have the useful Event Viewer log yet. The screenshot only shows SecurityCenter info, not the crash.

Please go to Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application and post the red Error from the crash time, especially the faulting module name.

Also fully exit the NVIDIA app itself for a test, not just its overlay, because Plutonium has had overlay-related crash issues before.

If possible, upload the .dmp somewhere and send the link, because the .txt alone is still too generic to pin down.
