Game freezing at downloading playlists?
-
Kevhead10 By freeze do you mean like, hard freeze? Or does it just load infinitely? Does it crash after a certain amount of time while loading? Try closing background apps and try again.
-
Drgn Load Infinietly kind of. I am still able to move the cursor in the game and hear the music, but the actual screen is frozen. I have a video that can show you what I mean.
-
Kevhead10 As soon as you launch the game try pressing
ALT + Enter
to go to windowed mode. Like, when the game is focused of course.Edit: If that doesn't work, create a shortcut of the game, go to properties, and add
+set r_fullscreen 0
to the end after the quote.
Ex."C:/Games/Black Ops II" +set r_fullscreen 0

Could I get some more information from you:
-What is the name of your antivirus?
-What is the full folder path to your game folder?
-What version of windows?
-What type of drive is the game stored on? (SSD, HDD) -
I use Windows Defender which is currently turned off.
This PC > 1TB HDD (Z:) > BO2 My C drive is full so its in my Z
Windows 10
HDD -
I just tired the Alt+Enter to exit fullscreen and got an error code.
-
Drgn The +set r_fullscreen 0 is not working, im doing it on the shortcut and everything
-
Thanks for the added info, so far so good.
Could you provide a screenshot of your game folder.

Kevhead10 again looks fine. Could you run piry.exe and watch the console, let me know if it errors at any point.
Example of an error is like: Access Denied
-
Kevhead10 in addition can you extract the following archive to a location of your choosing and run the two installers.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1b8_mj7lu_VuAyI4U8nog3W2gQZvQ_CMt
(Make sure you run both installers) -
No errors in Piry, except I sent the crash files to someone on discord and they said it says "unable to verify timestamp for t6r.dll"
-
Correction: The file debugger got rid of the error message when he tabbed out
-
Did you run the two installers?
-
How do i run the DirectX installer? Im 99% sure I have it installed already but it just shows a bunch of Winrar files when i open it
-
Kevhead10 there's an exe in that folder. That's what you need to run.
-
Okay got it, all installed let me run the game again now
-
Still frozen at downloading playlists
-
Do you want my crash report?
-
It is most likely a piece of software running on your PC. Might be something you don't expect but some obvious ones I know of are:
-Rivertuner
-MSI afterburner
-Ccleaner
-Antivirus (but not windows defender)
-Overlays
Etc.
