Exactly what these guys said. It's not that we hate SteamDeck users or anything, It's that somebody on a steam deck decided to try and hack. Steam deck's it turns out have near identical hardware identifiers. So anybody else who tries to use one outside of LAN mode will been seen by the anticheat as having made an alt account to bypass their ban and thus are re-banned.

Basically - cheaters fault for ruining it for everyone. Valve has some fault too, it's idiotic to release hardware that matches every single other bit of hardware.

Our warning on your thread was an attempt to avoid people accidentally getting themselves banned.

Edit: And to answer the inevitable question, no we will no re-write our entire anticheat just so a small section of gamers can use a steamdeck to play Plutonium. It's not an officially supported platform by us.

How about you jump into wireshark and record the amount of packets sent, do that for both Steam and Pluto and I think you'll see they are the exact same tickrate.

The tickrate is the same as they was back in the day, get gud.

In the below guide the steam version instructions are to be followed instead. Then simply use them on Plutonium instead using LAN Mode.

Can you try running as Administrator and see if that helps? Which Antivirus do you have? If you don't have one you probably have Windows Defender.

Voldson Can you fire [email protected] an email with your non VPN'd IP address? Then let me know once that's done?

Your IP may just be caught in one of our IP blocks - you could also try turning your router off for about 5 or 10 minutes and then checking if your IP changes.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your continued patience whilst we are working on our next update. Since our return we have looked at our code and decided most of it needs reworking. This has allowed us to fix a few jarring bugs deep within the codebase.

T6:

• A memory leak has been identified and patched.

• Dedicated servers shouldn't crash every few hours anymore. This has affected Pluto T6 since the start.

• Unlock all now unlocks 99%. At this moment in time it does not unlock the extra class slots however we are still working on that.

IW5:

• Stun Grenades are no longer as powerful as the sun. This one has affected Pluto IW5 since the start.

• Custom map support fully rewrote to be more stable. Videos can be seen on our YouTube channel.

• Added custom zone support. This will allow for ported weapons and other custom assets, such as camos.

• Added in-game console.

• Implemented scripting with ChaiScript. This will allow GSC-like mods.

General:

• Our masterserver / backend has been redone and ready to accept authorization requests, AntiCheat traffic, servers and anything else we require from it. The infrastructure behind it has been rethought to try to avoid connection problems.

• Implemented a reworked DW and Steam emulator for both games.

• New menu's and server browsers are being worked on to update the look of the outdated menu's.

• New Launcher UI has been made which will allow for easy updating and maintaining of the Plutonium mods as well as potentially managing friends.

• Our forum is back online as you can tell. We hope in a few months it can be a knowledge-base of information regarding Plutonium.

• We've made good progress with our AntiCheat, it does however require very thorough and lengthy testing though.

We still can't tell you when the next update will come, or what will or will not be included in it - we still have plenty to work on. Thanks once again for your kind messages and words of support, we're glad you enjoy our mod as much as we do.

Soldier96 All our developers and staff work on a volunteer basis so if that's the case we will need to pass. I'll certainly try to have the discussion though.

It's a false positive from Defender, we suggest adding an exclusion in defender for %localappdata%/Plutonium and Plutonium.exe

Our files communicate with our back-end and receive a load of server IP addresses to grab the server list, much like a virus might do. Hence it's falsely flagged.

Thats normally a problem caused by a slow harddrive. It's loading files into memory, nothing to do except wait in most cases. The intro video is used to hide the wait and is normally enough time for faster harddrives.

I can replicate this problem if I cause my harddrive to hit 100% usage and then start Pluto. So it's certainly a harddrive speed or usage problem.

Do you have a SSD you can try?
