    JezuzLizard the error being in bold seems to just be a formatting error, as evidenced by the missing line of equal signs below the error in the original message which shows properly when quoting the message. As for the error itself, it’s commonly caused by not having the files installed of the map they’re trying to join according to the common issues post, which in this case happens to be Mob of the Dead, a DLC map.

    CAW TRICKSHOT if you’re not using the Die Rise Extra script, then that behaviour is intended. Check the Features for how the step works.
    If you are using Die Rise Extra, then you need to be on the Trample Steam step, as explained here:

    If the number of players is less than 4, the players will be able to obtain at least 4 trample steams from the equipment table during the Maxis Trample Steams step, but they must place one down before being able to equip the next one. Zombies will ignore your buildables during the step.

    Make sure to search the external console/terminal window for if it says that it got the script named die_rise_extra_springpads_maxis.gsc loaded successfully.

    ImagineAzah scripts installed in %localappdata%\Plutonium\storage\t6\scripts and some of the subfolders inside it on the host’s side get automatically executed by the game. Get the host to search the external console/terminal window: for loaded successfully, as that should give you an idea of the custom scripts that are loaded.

    As for sv_cheats, it’s disabled by default, but the host should be able to enable it either in the custom games lobby or during the match using console commands by executing this: sv_cheats 1

    Prawly Sam28 this can happen if com_maxclients and/or sv_maxclients get set to 1 before starting the match. Selecting Solo Play does that, thus you’ll need to select Custom Games instead and make sure the party size is 2 or more before starting the match.

    lewislee21 the line showing the version being orange instead of green is just something that was changed in an update. It doesn’t indicate anything.
    As for the server not showing up, it could be normal for you to not see the server if it’s hosted on the same network you’re playing on if the network is not allowing NAT-loopback. Make sure you allow the port the server is using through the PC’s firewall. You’ve supposedly done port forwarding, which is good, but you might need to set up the device running the server to reserve a static local IP if you haven’t already so that the port forwarding rules keep getting applied properly.

    Kysie98 thanks for reporting the problem. It seems to be a side effect of allowing the bot to spawn in solo play. During the final stage, the check to determine which side wins differs between each side. For Weasel, the game only checks if the player playing as him is in last stand, i.e. is downed but not in afterlife. For the rest of the mobsters, the game checks more than that for each player, including if the player is in afterlife. That explains why if the bot isn’t Weasel then entering afterlife counts as a win for the Weasel; and on the other hand if the bot was Weasel and enters afterlife, it wouldn’t count it as a win for the rest of the mobsters.

    I’ve updated the mod to track the afterlives the bot has and keep them at 1. That’ll hopefully deal with this issue.

    In that case, before joining a server, open the Party Privacy menu by pressing P or by clicking on the option from the bottom of the screen, change the player limit to 1, then change the party player limit again and set it to the maximum value (8 in the case of Zombies), then join a server.     Here's some documentation of the problem by me.
    I've recorded a video showing the crash and showing the values of max player limit dvars—specifically the ones changed by the party options menu, which are: sv_maxclients, com_maxclients, party_maxplayers, and party_maxplayers_privatematch—before and during the match which crashed the game.     One thing I’d like to mention about the video is that I set the party player limit to 1 before starting the recording and restarting the game.

    Just a note, I've mostly noticed that the value of com_maxclients changes to match the value of the dvar party_maxplayers upon joining a match. So, I could not determine which dvar of these two was causing this problem, but my guess is it's due to com_maxclients. As for sv_maxclients and party_maxplayers_privatematch, I was able to set them to 1 while keeping the previous two at max, but the problem does not occur in this case. The video shows the problem occurring when com_maxclients and party_maxplayers are set to 1 and the other two dvars are set to max.
    Additionally, I've noticed that the crash occurs when an invisible player leaves, but not when a visible player does.

  • [Bug Report] Additional Server Crashes on Startup if Both a Running Server and the Additional Server Have the "logfile" Dvar Enabled

    So, apparently T4 has this problem with additional servers crashing on startup since update r3755, as per this topic: Problems Hosting Multiple Servers by Balrog85
    Upon some testing, the problem seems to occur in the following cases:

    • 2 MP
    • 2 CO-OP
    • 2 ZM
    • 1 ZM & 1 CO-OP

    but doesn’t occur for 1 MP & 1 CO-OP/ZM.

    I managed to bypass this problem by simply editing the cfg file of the additional server and setting logfile to "0" (check edit2 for an alternative solution), and reported the fix to DJseanyB who was looking for a fix to the problem:

    Upon investigating what update r3755 changed for T4, I’ve found this which I believe is relevant for this problem:

    • Rename old console log files with .001, .002, etc.

    My guess is that the additional server crashes upon trying to rename console.log (CO-OP, ZM) or console_mp.log (MP) found in PLUTONIUM_PATH_OF_SERVER\storage\t4\main that’s in use by the already-running server, but I don’t have the skill to verify if that’s what’s actually happening.

    I came across the fix when I noticed that starting servers without executing a cfg file made the servers start with no problem (aside from not having the dvars set that the cfg file sets, even manually started a map on both servers without either of them crashing), noticed that the additional server crashes when manually executing the cfg file while there’s a server running properly, then skimmed through the dvars in the cfg file which I believed might’ve been problematic, and finally, through a process of elimination by commenting out dvars and uncommenting them, I came to the conclusion that only one server from the same app may run with the logfile dvar enabled after testing with all its possible values.

    To answer some questions which might get asked:

    • I had no custom scripts/textures installed for T4, as I don’t play that game.
    • I’ve used cfg files with different names.
    • I’ve used different ports.
    • I’ve tried making sure the g_log dvar in the cfg file is set to different names between the servers.

    Edit (2024/05/03)

    I reckon that using separate Plutonium installs for each server could also work as an alternative workaround from the user’s side for this problem. I will not elaborate further on this, as I consider this to be something only an advanced user would be capable of accomplishing successfully.

    Today, Discord user DrSTaTTiK mentioned a dvar called g_console_log which determines the name of the console.log/console_mp.log file. I tested if setting the value of the dvar to a unique name per server circumvents the problem of additional servers closing when logfile is enabled on multiple servers, and it worked! I suggest using that as the solution to this problem. Write it in the server cfg file and use a unique name per server.
